C. Senators, Congressmen, Presidents -- the names that we grew up with if you were of the Baby Boomer generation, names that were part of the history of the 20th century -- all are in here.
A portion of each sale goes to the Gold Star and Wounded Warrior Project.
These are not copied recipes handed out by PR departments; rather, these were personal, family favorites released only because the Gold Star Wives military support organization asked for them. Often these were donated by wives, mothers, or grandmothers - the people who actually COOKED these dishes for the notables and their families.
Many of these included wonderful little side notes and liners and stories that make this a wonderful, fun, nostalgic perspective - from the cooking side - of a momentous time in our history.
