Dear Reader, I write to you a book of 31 poems on nature, life, death, friendship, studying, hopes, and dreams, but all are tied by this simple, common thread: I saw something beautiful in life that I wished more could see. I pray this book stirs in you a desire for better things. It does not and cannot contain those things, but I hope it points you towards them. It is my desire that this poetry convince our hearts to live out what our minds can only agree with; that it give us a glimpse, however briefly or incompletely, of things which are worthy of our love; and that, above all else, it connect us to real people and real problems, with whom and through which we actually act to make our world a better place.
