Untethered: A Journey Beyond Loss is the second installment in Irama's two-part memoir series-a continuation of healing, wholeness, and spiritual rebirth following the love and grief that shaped her in Tethered to the Past. She appears only in silhouette, a reflection of her evolution no longer tethered, but unmistakably present. The name may be a pen name, but the story remains deeply and unapologetically hers. Irama is the pen name of a Mississippi-born author, proud mother of two daughters, and loving Gigi to her granddaughter, Amari. The namesake behind "Irama," a quiet nod to rhythm, legacy, and the women who carry us forward. Now living in Conley, Georgia, Irama leads with purpose as the founder of Real Divas Read, a thriving sisterhood of readers and leaders for over 13 years, and as a Senior Program Manager by day, navigating high-impact initiatives with strength and empathy. She holds a master's degree in Organizational Leadership and lives by the belief that personal growth is its own form of leadership.
