TDIs range in severity from enamel fractures to luxation and avulsion injuries, each requiring a specific diagnostic and therapeutic approach. Prompt and accurate management is critical to preserve pulp vitality, prevent infection and maintain long term health and function of the affected teeth. In children, special consideration must be given to the developmental stage of the dentition and the emotional impact of trauma. Preventive strategies, including the use of mouthguards and patient education, play a vital role in reducing the incidence and consequences of dental trauma in the pediatric population.
