This United States Army manual, Training Circular TC 3-22 Security Force Assistance Mission Handbook January 2025, provides a training blueprint for all US Army forces who deploy to conduct Security Force Assistance. The principal audience for TC 3-22 is non-SFAB units who are tasked to conduct SFA. However, units and personnel who are within an SFAB will also find this TC informative. Trainers and educators throughout the Army will also use this publication. TC 3-22 uses joint terms where applicable. Selected joint and Army terms and definitions appear in both the glossary and the text. For other definitions shown in the text, the term is italicized, and the number of the proponent publication follows the definition. TC 3-22 applies to the Active Army, Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States and United States Army Reserve unless otherwise stated.
