"Are you a Jew?" A deadly question posed to a young American journalist chosen by the President of the United States to explore behind-the-scenes treatment of the Jewish people in Romania. A positive answer could result in expulsion or worse, while a negative response would not be accepted. Unable to speak the language and unable to trust anyone, even the U.S. Ambassador created a vicious quagmire. The dilemma that Andrew Madison found himself in necessitated that the president's agent determine the truth behind the lies spewed by government officials, Romanian and United States alike.
Falsely imprisoned, Andrew (Andy) escapes with the aid of a beautiful Jewish woman and a few fellow Jews only to find himself charged with assaulting and murdering policemen and civilians. He needed to flee Romania and seek counselor protection in Hungary but the obstacles that he would have to overcome were the entire Romanian police force and the huge mountains he would have to traverse. Even then, would the tainted U.S. Embassy give him shelter and safety?
