St. Psote, Bishop of Psoï, delivered a poignant homily on the eve of his martyrdom, addressing his congregation with a sense of urgency about repentance and divine judgment. He emphasized the responsibilities of ecclesiastical leaders while warning against the treachery of the Devil and the importance of vigilance in spiritual warfare. His message, steeped in biblical allusion and monastic ideals, reflects the gravity of his impending death and the necessity of a faithful life. Psote's words culminate in a call to communion through the Eucharist, reinforcing the connection between the shepherd and his flock as he faced martyrdom with serene confidence.
