After the disappearance of Vincent Fawn's father and the unexpected cancellation of the arranged marriage, Vincent finds himself in New York. Vincent is sent to live with his aunt and uncle, but on the ship, he is reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Miss Sona Akiyama. Sona's father, who happens to be a detective, is investigating the disappearance of Vincent's father. As Miss Sona Akiyama falls in love with Vincent's rival, Vincent overcome with jealousy ignores the impending danger around him. After moving to New York, Vincent slowly loses his memory and succumbs to vivid visions of butterflies and faces in the walls. He then learns about the numerous missing persons and murders, and wonders if he is on the brink of insanity or if something ominous lurks in Manhattan. Vincent may not be the nicest person but can he overcome his jealousy and survive.
