Malcolm J. Campbell, a first generation Scottish American, heads west to seek his fortune following the death of his parents. Blessed with strong arms, a strong back, the will to work and a trouble making skill with a gun, Mac heads to an unknown future. The future only the American West can provide. The United States of 1880 is still recovering from the Civil War and is just coming out of a depression. To many, only the West holds a promise for the future or anonymity for the wanted. The American Western Heritage Series(TM) recreates the old west and brings the great westward migration to life once again. In the spirit of other great western writers, Eric Niven carves an exciting trail for lovers of western fiction in The Reaper.
