Born on Halloween of 1907, in Preston, Idaho, Harold Fern Nufer became one of the fathers in a long line of fathers and mothers who comprised the Nufer Line. He was the first to adapt the name from what had been "Neüffer" to "Nufer". Beginning in the late 1600's, this book maps out the generations that led up to Harold. It provides brief life sketches of each couple in the Nufer Line, as well as some who married into the line. These people came almost entirely from the Germany and Switzerland. His father's family came to America in 1881 and his mother's in 1866. The surnames include Ramps, Rinderknechts, Springs, Wilds, Schmids, Moenchs, Hubers, and more, all of whom eventually banded together to bring to life Harold Fern Nufer. This is a companion book to "The Frank Book" which charts the ancestors of Constance Anona Frank who married Harold Nufer. Between the two, a view into their pasts, and perhaps yours, is provided. Harold and Connie had 2 children who in turn have had children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They are like the center of an hourglass with their ancestors in the top half and their descendants continually pouring out below.
