Mother and daughter, life-long collaborators- Once daughter, Susan Wert Vogt, taught her mother, Miriam Taylor Wert, how to use the computer after Miriam's retirement in the mid-1980s, Susan challenged her mother, "Now write a book!" Her mother's first attempt was writing the first half of The Sheepskin in 1998 at age 73. In 2004 Susan had a vision about her mother's book. At age 79, Miriam accepted the challenge and wrote the dialogue in Part 2 to accompany the vision Susan had shared with her. A former contributing editor at a newspaper, Susan realized that her mother Miriam had insights on growing older which she encouraged her mother to elaborate on in The Sheepskin as the shepherds aged. Her greatest joy was to be used by God to welcome souls into His kingdom . . . yes, even in her old age!
