Maybe Noyolo and Gearoid were faking it but he can say that, after Emily and Kerry, this felt as good as the real thing. For, in faking, they had put all their energy into the moment, into what they should be feeling physically, mentally and even spiritually. It was really difficult to tell the difference between reality and illusion as a result. The boundaries between the two became more and more blurred and in the end they couldn't tell the difference. Perhaps this happens in every successful eternal relationship on a subconscious level. Gearóid may never see Noyolo again and that would be a pity as they have so much in common together. But as he said to her this afternoon as she lay in his arms, his number one priority is that she follow the road that makes her happiest. If that be solely in a partnership living with Fernando then 'so be it', for Gearóid would support her whole heartily and move on in his life without her. Gearóid would be happy within himself knowing that she was happy. For Noyolo was, and always will be to him, a Goddess.
