This work aims to investigate the representations that indigenous artists in Roraima make of Pedra Pintada/RR. As a research problem, we asked ourselves how the indigenous artists of Roraima represent Pedra Pintada. To do this, we studied what is meant by Heritage and all its divisions. Subsequently, we searched for theoretical and bibliographical information on this heritage asset. This research included the participation of three indigenous artists from Roraima: Estênio Pereira, Isaias Miliano and Amazoner Okaba. Based on the artists' narratives, we concluded that they gave rise to three main categories: 1- Meanings of Pedra Pintada; 2- Knowledge of/ experiences with Pedra Pintada and; 3- Techniques for representing Pedra Pintada. By analyzing these categories, we can conclude that we still have a lot of research to do on heritage, rock art and preservation laws, and above all, to understand/value those who have already been discussing and taking a more symbolic/careful/critical look at this asset, the indigenous people. Keywords: Pedra Pintada/RR. Identity. Artistic production.
