1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:1 태초에 말씀이 계셨고, 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으며, 말씀은 하나님이셨습니다.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:2 그분은 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨습니다.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
1:3 만물이 그로 말미암아 창조되었으니, 창조된 것 중에 그가 없이는 된 것이 하나도 없느니라.
1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
1:4 그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이었느니라.
1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
1:5 그 빛이 어둠 속에서 비치되 어둠이 그것을 깨닫지 못하더라.
1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
1:6 하나님께로부터 보내심을 받은 사람이 있었는데, 그의 이름은 요한이었습니다.
1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
1:7 그는 증거하러 왔으니 곧 빛을 증거하여 모든 사람이 자기를 통하여 믿게 하려 함이니라.
1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
1:8 그는 그 빛이 아니었으나 그 빛을 증거하기 위해 보내졌느니라.
