Too often have we gazed over lines of romantic poetry, and too seldom have we come across anything introspective. But we keep reading the monotonous black and white, even though anyone who has ever loved knows that it contains many shades of grey. The happiness, as well as the sadness, that is found in love is well documented. But what about those moments that love leaves you straddling the fence, leaving you with that awkward blend of every positive and negative emotion known to man? In this book I will attempt to give a voice to the in-between, for even the brightest light casts shadows somewhere. I find that often times, the best way to get a point across is through the art of story-telling. Therefore, I need you to pay careful attention to each piece in this book, for they are all connected to each other. This is not about individual poems, but rather a series of poems that will take you on the roller coaster that is love. So, I ask you to open your minds, and open your hearts as you read these works.
