Outcast by humanity as a child, Fendrel feels more at home with the dragons who raised him than he does with his own kind.
All his adult life he has devoted himself to defending dragons from hunters and corrupt knights seeking prestige and wealth, earning himself the title of The Liberator.
With the dragon hunters' operations slowing down, Fendrel finds himself with more time on his hands, but a request from his latest rescue soon demands his full attention. The dragon king's betrothed has gone missing, and Fendrel may be the only person who can bring her back home.
