Bethany Collier, disturbed by an enigmatic phone call from her twin sister, Barbara, returns home to discover that her sister has disappeared. She goes to the police to file a missing person's report and is not satisfied with the way her case is handled. She enlists the aid of a private investigator named Luke Drummond. The two of them work together and find cryptic clues secreted in Barbara's Bible. Bethany and Luke unravel these clues and are led to information that challenges everything that they had ever believed in. During the course of the investigation, Bethany and Luke are confronted by a worldwide conspiracy to subjugate mankind, an unforeseen love developing between them, and the overwhelming realization that the Lord that they had forsaken had never forsaken them.
