The Fall Of Man
The depravity was not just a state of disgrace.
It introduced man to hardship and failure. A separation from the providence of God and being a shamed beggar even for the attention of God. He that was a regular with man so close he could tell of His footsteps and even the signature of His voice had to go out of his place of rule to be a commoner. Creation did not just not care about him anymore but even was a dread to him; a terror.
The fall of man one would say spelt a very long term of being a servant of providence a thing that one can tell has taught man to measure self with. Soon spelt as the will of God though man was provided before his inception in his integrity. Man having rendered repulsive to the love and care of God meant he had to go out of Eden a babe armed with harsh ideals of the not provided for life. The most painful thing being now that his eyes are open to good and evil; they can take the prick of it right to their souls. The ideal meaning being cast out of the garden of Eden meant they did not just have to start afresh but empty handed and without the security of being the most feared of the species.
Sin did not just dampen their pomp to a terrible low on the food chain; they as others commonly played prey. Animals did not just stop eating trees but they turned on eating each other and anything that is not stronger than them. A thing that means their dread was no longer upon creation but as all others the quick did have to swallow the slack. The sin nature did not just affect the animals in the cannibalistic ways among themselves; but even man begins to do what is uncalled for; he keeps sheep for livestock. A thing that means now he is no longer just dependent on the ground that is not giving him strength; but he is also devouring creation as it is also eating its self up.
Genesis 4:2 KJV And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Genesis 9:1-7 KJV And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
We usually just see Abel as the good guy who kept sheep. Yet we miss the ideal that man is given to eat meat as means flesh of animals in Genesis 9 whereas as a slave to sin he had been uncontrollably eating it all along. Though a working ideal in the supposition of offering and the first things. It breached the first ideals of his first blessing.
