In any given village, it is inevitable that somebody will fill the role of master of mishaps. In the village of Siloa, that somebody is Neldon Broadbuckle. Although Neldon is an exceptionally kind, friendly and well-intentioned lad, he is also terribly clumsy and lacking in both wit and good judgment. As a result, he leaves disaster in his wake in nearly everything he does. But he certainly has some wildly entertaining and hilarious adventures along the way.
This collection of stories follows the adventures of Neldon and his good friends Aradis, Girion, Corim, Tallis and Darmon as they navigate being spirited (and sometimes outright mischievous) boys in the farming community of Siloa. And, due to Neldon's blundering, he is almost always right in the thick of the action, whether it be an epic, village-wide snowball fight, an accidental voyage by raft down Bardlin Creek or an absolutely catastrophic performance of an annual pageant.
In these hearty tales of Neldon and his companions, one will find a unique blend of a fantasy world, classic comedy and the sorts of childhood shenanigans that the adventurer in us wishes we could all have in much greater abundance.
