Several years ago, when Leah Nisbet was much younger, a missionary from Ireland made a profound statement about Leah's life: he compared her life to a tapestry being woven, an intricate pattern that would only be clear when the tapestry was complete.Fast forward to the present; Leah's life has been like that tapestry. Having grown up in a devout Christian home, she drifted out of that environment after the tragic death of her twin brother. Leah's testimony about how she ended up in a life of alcohol, drugs and abusive relationships makes compelling reading. It is an example of how a life that started with so much promise in a Christian home can end up on the rocks of abuse and self-destruction. Her story is a vivid account of a young woman’s struggles to find meaning and solace in life, leading her to make so many wrong choices.Thankfully, like the prodigal son, Leah found the courage to return, to her home and to her God. This is her story - a tapestry being woven, full of God's grace that pulled her out of a life of misery back into the security of Jesus' embrace.
