FAWCETT COMICS was known mostly for their superheroes and westerns, but they came out with some excellent crime-detective comics, and with SUSPENSE DETECTIVE they took it a dangerous step further claiming:
"EACH SPINE-TINGLING STORY WILL MAKE YOU FEEL YOU'RE TIGHTROPE WALKING A
THOUSAND DIZZYING FEET ABOVE A ROARING FIRE!"
That's a very high standard, and these colorful, fast-paced, exciting stories live up to that claim! There is stellar artwork by Mike Sekowsky, George Evans and Bernard Baily.
Amazingly, many of the other stories are unattributed, which is unusual considering the skill-level involved in these tales. The colorist - whoever it was - deserves an award as well. This is the complete series, all five nail-biting issues collected together.
