Every drawer opens on a cut-out grip milled into the front panel instead of a protruding pull, so nothing catches a hip in a tight walkway and the face of the cabinet stays flat and unbroken. Each drawer is rated for 11 lbs, and the 12-in by 12-in top board takes another 11 lbs, enough for a small plant, a folded towel stack or a basket of extras within arm's reach. Safety is handled in two places rather than one: an anti-toppling device fixes the back panel to the wall, and a second stop sits in each drawer so a fully extended drawer will not pull the cabinet forward. The structure is high-density MDF, chosen because the denser board keeps a tall, narrow body square rather than letting it rack over time, and at 22 lbs the finished cabinet is light enough to reposition alone. The finish is plain and unfussy, which is what lets it read as transitional, modern or mid-century depending on the room, and daily upkeep is a quick wipe of the flat surfaces.
