A parent crossing the space can see the baby from any angle instead of walking over to check, and the same open weave keeps air passing through rather than trapping it against a sleeping child. Behind that mesh the frame does three jobs. As a playard it measures 40 by 28.5 by 29 inches and takes 33 lbs, enough for a child who is crawling and pulling themselves upright. As a bassinet it holds 20 lbs at a height that saves bending to the floor.
