Not willing to leave the army, he reenlists with another regiment, the 16th Cavalry Regiment, headed by Colonel John Irvin Greg. Colonel Gregg has reservations about accepting Ghost's enlistment until he reads the previous officer's report. The battles become brutal, and Ghost finds himself in emanate danger when their lines are overrun with Confederates near a place known as Gettysburg.
