Anaya Chapman and John Galeas are back in the time-jumping game just as an Andarrian resupply ship goes missing and the crew is brutally murdered. All except for one-Anaya's friend, who has disappeared. The murders seem to be connected to an illegal drug, Splice, which is back in circulation. The clock is ticking while it's up to Anaya and John to find the missing crewmember. Meanwhile, Anaya's brother, Montressador Sean Chapman, is called to Andarria's National Museum when the ancient sword of a disgraced Montressador is stolen. Sean has mixed feelings when he teams up once again with his crush, Agent Fionna Knox, to search for the missing relic. Their best lead takes them straight to a fanatical, anti-time jumping cult called the Luctari and their charismatic leader, the Reverend Brink. When Fionna is called away to investigate the murders, Sean suspects the cases are related. Together, they must recover the sword, stop a serial killer, and find the missing crewmember before the killer strikes again. And with Splice in the killer's hands...anyone could be next.
