Embarking on a new mission, Melanie and Jason try to find the elusive Spire's Scroll, which appoints the Descendant of Light-the only one who can defeat the enemy. But legend suggests the final verse never made it to the kingdoms, and a madness overtakes any who journey to its birthplace.
New companions brew tension, darkness infects hearts, and a life-long secret breaks free. If Melanie and Jason cannot solve the meaning of the Spire's Scroll in time, the enemy will use Scalaed to escape banishment and bring foul forces to exact revenge on the Tindorians who put them there in the first place.
