My parents left big shoes for me to fill when they passed away. In fact, they left me everything. Except any clue as to how to run their Lake Michigan lodge, or reasons to keep trying in the face of utter ruin. I love Kerby Lodge. But running it? Not so much. As far as I'm concerned, the best season begins when everyone packs up their sunscreen and novelty t-shirts and heads for home. But this year, instead of blissful solitude, I'm snowed in with my grumpy final guest, and a blizzard of unpaid bills. My only consolation?
