After barely escaping an abusive relationship that almost got her sent to the upper room, Nia moves back to her hometown to rebuild her life. Nia's cousin, Chavonne, introduces her to the fabulous salon owner, Towanda, who takes a personal interest in the shy Nia. Towanda takes the woman under her wings and grooms her into a force to be reckoned with, introducing her to a host of people, places, and things. Nia starts to see life under a new lens and sets her sights on the impossible.
