For Kody Novak, this was the worst homecoming ever. Not only was his dear friend dead, his sister was still in the hospital after being bitten by a krait. And he was sure it was about to get a lot worse. The Serpenteens have to get from Florida to Colorado to find a giant white mongoose, and then head all the way back to Kentucky, all the while avoiding the attacks of a very angry earth goddess.
