Riveted in Roses finds Morgan Burch in Portland, Oregon during Foxgrove's Spring Break serving on the Board of Trustees for the Pittock Mansion representing her late father (once the major benefactor). Sent to Oregon on Foxgrove business to recruit and interview prospective families Morgan takes a mini-holiday. Staying at a B&B on a friend's converted yacht Morgan acts as temporary hostess on the Maid Marian while her friends are called away to a family emergency. Always cautious Morgan becomes suspicious of the only other guest after his arrival midweek when the mystery guest drowns. Morgan becomes drawn in completely to investigate after a mini-reunion dinner of six fellow FBI alums from her class at Quantico years before. The backdrop of this adventure revolves around the historical, abandoned Shanghai Tunnels running under the Portland harbor area to the picturesque Blackhawk marina and vessels from Nordic Tugs to vintage yachts.
