Remnants- is the collection of short stories that I wrote from 2012-2023 29 Short Stories and Poetry *Broken Bricks - Features Patty Medallion a character within the Grapevine Trilogy as a young woman in an abusive marriage *Emotional Wounds - Involves a divorced couple that meet years after separation *Without Heat - Is the story of a retired East German college professor reliving his life under communist rule before the collapse of the Berlin Wall *Cauldron and Whatever Doesn't Burn - Are two stories involving Percival Cauldron, the owner of Le Persil the town dump. The stories recount his time as a helicopter pilot during the Korean War to his days in Jail along with his struggles to get contracts with municipalities in 1972. With the help of his right hand man Jim Buck they do their damndest to get business done *In A Jar - Is the final short story involving Percival Cauldron and Jim Buck taking place over 40 years later when a young woman is abducted and raped then tossed out of a van. Percival Cauldron picks her up from the side of the road later seeking revenge *A Polish Festival - Is the story of Janusz Zelinski whose family owns a meat market, he decides to take charge of running his church's Polish Festival *Frustration - Tells the tale of an old retired shipping dock worker on the island of Oahu, whom spends the day fishing with his old high school girlfriend Gomorrah *The Stretch Out - Is the story of the tension that took place in an Alabama textile mill during unionization and the Great Depression leading up to the textile mill strikes of 1934 *Bottom Of The Bottle - Downtrodden and hard on his luck after a tree falls through his barn, his dog dies from liver failure, and a cow dies during the birthing process all during drought, his farm is barren of crops. It begins to rain, a former prostitute and close friend of his Joy Ernst arrives and forces him to take her on a date
