Alis Foste, the director of the Solar System Authority, has tightened her grip on the Solar System colonies. Gael Daniels, CEO of the Walnad Interplanetary Corp, doesn't like it one bit. But he needs Alis and her strength to protect his merchant ships from the rampaging pirates. And Alis needs Gael's merchant ships to bring back supplies for the SSA to further exert her control over the Solar System.
