Joshua Braun is a member of a small religious farming community in Virginia. One day, while visiting the city, he is turned into a werewolf by the beautiful Anna. He returns home to the only life he knows to find his family has been killed by wild animals. Confused and alone, he leaves with the Bennett clan, a pack of werewolves, trying to hold onto his beliefs while finding his place in the pack. When his feelings for Anna are discovered, Joshua is tortured and left for dead. Now he's on the run, trying to survive and stay hidden from his pack. On his journey, he is befriended by the Blackfoot Nation, Margaret: head of the grand coven, Master Chang, head of the west coast vampires and the mysterious Lyle. John Bennett eventually finds out that his former pack member is alive and will stop at nothing to destroy him. Joshua discovers he is a rare breed of werewolf and has the power to take on his former pack but must find the courage to avenge his family and fight for the woman he loves.
