Behind this unsettling excess is an ardent engagement with language and speaking, which is reflected not only in dramatic pieces but also in numerous essays. The essential comprehension of the theater as a place of performance characterizes this profound linguistic reflection, which gives Novarina a special place among modern dramatic authors. The present work attempts to describe for the first time this poetics of abundance on the basis of an analysis of recurring forms and motifs. The complementary processes of incessant speech and memory are thus designated as the central themes of a unique work that is equally a reflection on language and the theater. Hinter diesem verwirrenden Uberfluss verbirgt sich eine leidenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit der Sprache und dem Sprechen, die nicht nur in den Dramen selbst, sondern auch in zahlreichen essayistischen Texten reflektiert wird. Der wesentliche Einbezug des Theaters als Ort der Auffuhrung zeichnet diese profunde Sprachreflexion aus, die Novarina eine besondere Stellung unter den dramatischen Autoren der Gegenwart zuweist. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht erstmals anhand der Analyse wiederkehrender Formen und Motive jene 'Poetik der Fulle' in Novarinas Texten zu beschreiben.
