It was my intention at first to have given a Plate of the Great Sym pathetic, but on attempting to reduce it-to the size of this work, it was found to have-lost its value in consequence of the confusion incident to the crowding of the numerous plexuses into so small a space. And besides, the large plate of Mr. Manec, which was republished in this country by Dr. Pancoast, is so excellent, and so generally possessed by students, that its absence will hardly be felt.
