What is it about who and what we are that makes philosophy a poor fit for day-in and day-out lived experience? We are a practical people that get things done. Most of our lives are spent in sophisticated common-sense business: meet challenges and opportunities ... win! Succeed! Philosophy does not, cannot, help.
Pre-conceptions! To be able to do their business, common sense, and science and technology, too, are utterly committed to devastating and unwarranted preconditional commitments. We are certain that the world is as it appears, that all truth is factual, empirically verifiable information, that language is a messaging tool, and its main purpose is to convince others to our point of view.
But, is enough

enough to be
knowledgeable
? Can you be
informed
about what is right or wrong, ordinary or excellent, hellish or heavenly?
Philosophy is conversation about the right, the excellent, the heavenly, none of which have anything to do with being sophisticated and it cannot be messaged as a piece of information.
