Books are like people: each one has its own story. My book is a story of families like yours and mine, existing and maturing in a world filled with the pressures of illicit drugs and the adverse effects they have on our children. My experiences of guiding two sons from the grip of alcoholism and drug addiction has allowed me the privilege of telling all parents how easily it can happen to any family and to any child of any age. I hope and pray that the sharing of this valuable information, along with my own experiences, will be a positive force in the thinking of our young people and their parents. My fellow parents, it is of the utmost importance that no matter how tough it may get, there is always a way to fight the adversities of drugs.
