There has been growing attention to, and participation in, the safeguarding ofChina's intangible cultural heritage among the general population of China, asa result of promotion efforts and scientific development in the caring and safe.guarding of China's Intangible Heritage. Preserving China's intangible culturalheritage has become an important issue in cultural circles, and also Chinesesociety in general. In the process of modernization people have come to realizethat, as a result of changes to the environment they live in, the alterations totheir life styles and society's ways of production, we are faced with the realitythat a huge amount ofChina's intangible cultural heritage of traditional Chineseagricultural society is disappearing rapidly. This reality will bring an irreversible loss for the future we see evolving in front ofus. Hence, it is now a com.mon consensus in our society that an all-out effort to safeguard our intangiblecultural heritage, especially on the front of bringing awareness to our youngergeneration to the importance of learning and preserving the richness and pre.ciousness of China's cultural traditions
