Created by Dallas-based artist Suzana Gordon, owner of Earthbound Trading Company, this artwork reflects her deep love of nature and radiant color. Originally from Brazil, Suzana brings the vivid influence of her heritage and her background in surface pattern design to every piece she creates. Whimsical yet sophisticated, this limited-edition print adds a pop of color and a touch of nature-inspired joy to your collection. ~ Step inside Suzana's world and discover the inspiration and stories behind each piece: What inspires your designs, are there personal stories, memories, or experiences that often influence your work? I am inspired mostly by nature. Farmers markets especially remind me of my upbringing in Brazil, the unusual tropical fruits with their distinct aromas, textures, and abundance of bright and vibrant colors. What feeling or atmosphere do you hope people experience when they bring your pieces into their space? I hope my art can provide a soothing backdrop for modern living. That they can bring peace, joy, a sense of calm, and happiness into any dwelling. How do you approach choosing subjects, materials, or color palettes, and is there meaning behind those decisions? It’s subtle guidance from past trips, long hikes, and random encounters that have brought joy and meaning to my life; I try to hold on to the feelings and then express them through my art. What medium are your pieces created in? Ex: pencil drawing, ink pen, gauche painting, digital drawing, etc. I use ink pens, markers, watercolors, and gauche to add color and digital art programs when creating prints and patterns. Recently, I've fallen in love with screen printing and how imperfect it is.
