This volume is a valuable study of very early sites, in particular from the Lower and Middle Pleistocene. A number of parasite finds are detailed from a range of contexts including coprolites and sediment samples. The results highlight the history of different parasite groups and sites and give information on the feeding and behaviour of the hosts. A new methodology is proposed, in which the coprolite material is considered as any other archaeological material. A very useful procedure is outlined in order to enable archaeologists and researchers on coprolites to assemble all the information on this material.
