A mature safety culture forms the basis for effective occupational safety in a company. 'Instructing employees on safety and health protection' plays a central role in this. This book describes the necessary prerequisites as well as the effects of a safety culture that is put into practice in the company. To this end, it outlines the principles of workplace-based learning that apply when carrying out or implementing training. In the context of these factors, the author describes the most important characteristics that contribute to the success of training. The book begins by discussing the basics of employee protection in Austria. The following chapter deals with the determining factors of occupational safety, such as errors and accidents, the human factor and safety culture. The following chapter deals in detail with the instrument of instruction and establishes a connection to 'workplace-based learning' by individuals, but also to organisational learning. Finally, the author takes up the most important aspects and applies them to practice.
