After her divorce is final, Mikenzi, decides that she wants to do something different with her life. She craves change. She wants to metamorphasize her life. She goes onto her social media page and sees that an old, historic house is for sale in her old home town in Minnesota. After having a few glasses of wine, she decides to apply for the house. A couple of hours later, she gets a call saying that she's been approved for the house. They want her to come back to Minnesota in two weeks for the house. Mikenzi is completely shocked by the fact that she was approved so fast, but she decides that it was a sign that she was to go ahead and move back home. That must have been part of her metamorphasizing plan. When she arrives to her old home town in Minnesota, she takes a look at the house she has purchased. She has decided that she wants to turn the house into a Bed and Breakfast. She takes a look at the house and makes a list of all the repairs that need to be fixed and all the changes that she wants to makes. She then makes a list of some of the supplies and tools that she's going to need to fix up the house and heads to the local hardware store, which is owned by her old high school boyfriend's parents, whom she left behind unexpectedly when she originally decided to move away fifteen years ago. She ends up coming across her old high school boyfriend, Corey Rhodes, who volunteers to help her fix up the house that she bought. He also declares that he's still in love with her and has never given up on hope that she would come back. She couldn't believe that he would still feel that way. So, she's a little hesitant because she's afraid that she might hurt him again. Mikenzi takes Corey up on his offer to help her fix up the house. While the two of them are fixing up the house together, will they also be able to fix up their old relationship?
