Dealing drugs is definitely a shady illegal business. Even though it's illegal, for some odd reason it's very profitable. In low-income communities, "Some" not all African-American teens dream of achieving the "American Dream" by becoming successful in the dope game. They allow there negative surrounding to determine their future; dropping out of school to hustle and make that fast money. Milton Lusser "Dre" isn't your typical dealer. He was an honor student who faced some tough challenges going to a predominately white high school. His mother is a single-parent doing the best she can to raise him and his younger brother Lee to be respectable and hardworking young black men. She was determined to protect them from the trend taking place in their low-income neighborhood; selling drugs. With the help of his high school guidance-counselor, Milton received a four year scholarship to a college up in Fairbanks, Alaska, and this news gave his mother so much joy. He decided to major in Business Marketing with dreams of one day owning his own business. Starting off everything was going great. He was focused and stayed on top of his studies. He maintained a perfect GPA his first year, and a very promising college career seemed destined for his future. Permious Jackson, his party loving roommate, for some reason always teased him about his "Focus on school first attitude". So Milton, who's easily influenced as you'll read, and who always wanted to be a part of the in-crowd decided to change his name and personality. He went from being focus, to partying all night. He went from having good habits, to forming bad ones, and when he done this; he got sucked into a world that his mother tried so hard to keep him away from; the drug world.
