Recently resurrected, his talents have been utilized by Spawn and the Scorched, using him as a sharp tool to cut out problems that require a certain level of violence and precision. Chenglei was a grotesque child, born with large growths upon his body. His inability to feel any pain provided amusement for his captors, who tortured him endlessly.
