This fictional story is loosely based on the author's life. It centers on a young widow with an autistic daughter who struggles to make it on her own after the sudden death of her husband. After reaching out to a support group for help, she received more than she was hoping for in an unexpected event that brought two families together. Louder Than Words is an emotionally driven story that explores the bond shared between two little girls and gives insight into the world of autism. This is a story that will captivate readers from start to finish. Author's note: It is my prayer that sharing my story with you will open you up to the very realness of God; to the truth that we are deeply affected by everything that we experience, from our creation in the womb, through our childhood, and all the way through old age. All life is a gift, no matter how short or how long, and every experience has the potential to wound or heal, steal or bless, kill or give life. Breila Joy used poetry from a very young age to give voice to the loneliness, fear and depression that plagued her for years. Louder Than Words, her first novel, chronicles the experiences that brought her to a fullness of joy and a freedom from depression. She is a compassionate wife, mother, and friend who finds her identity in Christ. Overcoming fear has allowed her to share her experience, strength and hope with others and flourish in a career that would previously have terrified her.
