Chili powder and chile pepper powder are often mixed up; a chili powder is typically a mixture of a chile pepper powder, cumin, coriander, garlic, and onion. It is used to flavor a variety of dishes including, naturally, chili. This "light" version is better suited for seasoning standard dishes such as Mexican cuisine, curries, eggs, or light BBQ sauces.
