The poems in this collection express some of what I've learned, observed, or endured from throughout my life. As I hope the title suggests---Bewilderment, Serendipity, and Whimsy---these poems reflect my personal belief that we are often influenced by many things outside our control. I firmly believe that how we react to intrusions in our lives often profoundly influences whether those outside forces have positive or negative impacts. My hope is these observations of my life, expressed in verse, provide readers with a sense of the fun, fright, whimsy, pain, insight, consternation, joy, distress, and feelings of accomplishment I've experienced in many years of outdoor adventuring and traveling the world.
