Carrie and her daughter are trapped in a desperate situation with no obvious escape. Finally summoning up the courage to leave her abusive husband, Carrie seizes an opportunity and they flee in the middle of the night. At last, they can look forward to starting a new chapter in their lives. Upon arrival at a new house, Carrie assumes they are finally safe. However, a series of strange occurrences cause her to doubt her sanity.
