ends: Christmas morning. Keira wakes up with boundless excitement about the holiday. Finally, after begging her two mothers for most of the 12 years she's been alive, Keira will be getting the cat she's always dreamed of having-or at least that's what she believes.
Keira does end up having the best Christmas ever, and telling Mama Karen and Mama Bee that they're the best moms in the world, but the path to get there isn't exactly the same as the one Keira has envisioned.
is a story about expectations, dealing with disappointments, reframing situations to find the silver linings, finding beauty and value in any situation rather than seeing it as strictly black or white, and learning how loving others can help you love yourself.
