Linda and Martin, her twin brother, both lived with their grandparents, because their parents were both soldiers, who traveled off world a lot, and it was too dangerous to take their children with them. Martin and Linda both missed their parents when they traveled. At the age of thirteen, Martin and Linda were exploring the woods, outside their village, when they heard a noise, half way between a screech and a snarl. Linda and Martin looked at each when the screechy snarl was repeated, much closer the second time. Martin looked up when a sudden movement caught his eye. He stood up fast, when he saw four fur covered crocodiles walking into the clearing, where Linda and Martin were resting. Martin reached over and he touched Linda's arm. She looked at him, before her eyes went past Martin to the fur covered crocodiles. Linda opened her mouth to scream, but Martin covered her mouth with his hand. "Don't make a sound, Linda, and the treevan might leave," he whispered and Linda nodded. The treevan looked at Linda and Martin, and one of them made the screechy snarl again. The other three treevan turned towards Martin and Linda, and began hissing as they moved towards the two teenagers. Linda slowly began edging towards a tall tree in the center of the clearing and Martin followed right behind her. The four treevan charged at Linda and Martin when they began moving. When they reached the tall tree, Martin and Linda both quickly climbed it. The treevan circled the bottom of the tree and snapped their jaws as they looked up at Linda and Martin. The teenagers sat in the tree until the sun set, because the treevan refused to leave. Martin and Linda looked up at the sky when the light began dimming, and they realized that the sun was going down. Linda looked over at Martin and said, "Are the treevan ever going to leave, so that we can go home. "I don't know, Linda," Martin replied. He looked down and the treevan began hissing again, as they heard Martin and Linda.
